Annual Report of the Director of Education for

(i)

School Medical Service. Since the period under review intensive health propaganda has made parents more aware of their responsibilities. Visits by members of the School Medical Service staff are no longer confined to the school holidays.

(ii)

King George V School. Most of the children at this school accompany their parents on home leave every 3 or 4 years. The parents, including ar increasing number serving in H.M. Forces, are in many cases liable to transfer to other parts of the world; and those who can afford it still prefer to send their children to the United Kingdom at or about the age of 13. These considerations do not apply to so great an extent to other schools.

(iv) The figures given in the report are incorrect and should be amended to those given in the report of the

Accountant General.

(vi)

Points of particular importance or interest in future annual reports will be the subject of a covering memorandum.
